Media Magic's mission is to provide affordable, high quality media editing and video production services allowing families, individuals, and small businesses to manage, produce, present, and preserve their ongoing media (unedited video, photos, and audio/music).

Kim Emerson

President and Co-founder

In 1985, Ms. Emerson graduated from Cornell University's Electrical Engineering School earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She was one of 20 women graduating with this degree. She then spent 20 years in the global high tech industry. In various marketing leadership roles, she accumulated a wealth of business and marketing experience with innovative companies in California's Silicon Valley and Asia.

At Epic Design Technology, a fledgling Electronic Design Automation (EDA) startup company in Silicon Valley, Kim's efforts and processes facilitated sales revenue growth from $1 million to $7 million, and helped build Epic from 7 to 48 employees. Her contribution enabled Epic Design Corp. to transform from a privately held organization to one of the most successful IPO's in the EDA industry.

As Director of Marketing, Asia Pacific for Mentor Graphics Corporation, Kim Emerson was responsible for $90m in sales, introducing processes to insure practicality and follow-through on sales commitments. Ms. Emerson was Co-founder of Asia Quest Inc. with offices in Hong Kong and Silicon Valley acting as VP of Marketing for various high tech startups entering Asian and US markets. One of the startups was TechnologyConnect.com, one of the first 20 companies to be funded through Garage.com.

Ms. Emerson was forced to pause her high tech career due to a family crisis. After losing her father to cancer, she wanted to spend more time with her family. This change of focus and her personal passion for technology and business inspired her to start Media Magic Inc. in 2007. Her belief and commitment is that with the right business model, quality media editing should and can be an affordable service easily accessible to all individuals, families, and small businesses.
